Learn more and register here.

Learn how the rumen and digestive systems function, including a rumen dissection and presentations on nutrition fundamentals. This includes discussions on the benefits and functions of probiotics in beef cattle to support healthier herds and improved performance.

The event will run from 8:30am to 2:30pm at 1070 Beeron Road, Derri Derra QLD 4626, with morning tea and lunch provided.

Learn how to best support your cattle through variable seasons to build a sustainable grazing system. By understanding how the rumen and digestive system function, producers can make informed decisions that support animal health, productivity and long-term landscape outcomes.

The field day will feature presentations from Desiree Jackson, Livestock Management, and Andrew Doljanin from Nutriment. Their combined expertise will provide attendees with clear, practical insights into nutrition planning and herd management.

As part of the day, attendees will also have the chance to win a Nutriment Weaner Probiotic Pack through the lucky door prize draw.

This complimentary event reflects BMRG’s ongoing commitment to working alongside landholders, industry partners and regional communities to build knowledge, strengthen resilience and support sustainable land management across the Burnett Mary region.

Delivered through the SQNNSW Innovation Hub with funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund, these field days are part of a shared commitment to strengthening drought preparedness through practical knowledge, local partnerships and measurable on-ground outcomes.
