Incentive funding delivers measurable wins for Burnett and Mary graziers

BMRG, in partnership with the Queensland Department of Primary Industries, is proud to support 45 local grazing enterprises through the Grazing Resilience and Sustainable Solutions (GRASS) project.

Through targeted incentive funding of up to $15,000 per property, landholders have delivered practical on-ground works to address gully, hillslope and riparian erosion — improving land condition, strengthening productivity and reducing sediment runoff to waterways flowing to the Great Barrier Reef.

The impact is measurable:

  • $645,853 in incentive funding delivered
  • $907,978 co-invested by producers
  • $145,854 in additional funding secured to expand regional outcomes

By working alongside graziers and technical specialists, BMRG is helping accelerate sustainable land management across the Burnett and Mary catchments — delivering environmental and economic benefits that endure beyond the life of the project.

This is regional collaboration in action, supporting resilient landscapes, profitable enterprises and healthier waterways.
