The field day offers producers the opportunity to see these projects in action and hear firsthand how practical management decisions are supporting healthier landscapes while creating pathways to emerging environmental markets.
Throughout the day, participants will explore Burnham Grazing's landscape restoration journey and learn how soil carbon projects are established, monitored and managed. Demonstrations will highlight the role of Natural Sequence Farming in improving water retention, increasing drought resilience and restoring ecosystem function, while also showcasing practical grazing management techniques and indicators for assessing landscape condition.
The program will also examine how natural capital planning can support better business decisions and create opportunities in carbon, biodiversity and other emerging environmental markets. Attendees will hear about Natural Capital Action Plans and the opportunities available through the Inland Burnett Integrated Project, helping producers understand how environmental stewardship can be integrated with productive farming systems.
The field day features a strong line-up of industry experts, including Dr Adrian Ward (Accounting for Nature), James Henderson (Isidore Agri-Eco Solutions), Dr Matt Taylor (Burnett Mary Regional Group), Stuart Andrews (Tarwyn Park Training) and Will Frecheville (AgriProve).
