This May, the HEART Summit brings together producers, practitioners, and thought leaders to explore one of the most important challenges facing our region: how to strengthen the connection between soil health, agricultural systems, and human wellbeing.
Held over two days at Eastwell Farms in Kin Kin, Queensland, the summit is designed as a practical, on-farm forum where science, lived experience, and cross-sector knowledge come together. As pressures on farming systems grow, this event creates space for informed, forward-thinking conversations that link productivity with long-term environmental and community outcomes.
The program reflects a systems-based approach. Day one focuses on human health - exploring nutrient density, food systems, and metabolic wellbeing - while day two turns to environmental and agricultural health, with a focus on regenerative practices, soil biology, and resilient farming systems.
Featuring leading voices including Graeme Sait and Dr Terry McCosker, alongside experts in nutrition, medicine, and land management, the summit offers a unique opportunity to engage with diverse perspectives spanning soil to plate. This collaborative approach supports a deeper understanding of how integrated land management can deliver measurable benefits across ecosystems and communities.
Importantly, the HEART Summit is grounded in practical application. Participants will engage in discussions, share knowledge, and explore real-world strategies that can be applied on-farm to improve outcomes for both people and landscapes.
